The following is a list of services that ROPES can provide or assist your school with. All prevention curriculums offered by ROPES are model-based programs which have been proven to work and are approved by SAMHSA.

Project Alert

Project ALERT

Project ALERT is a nationally recognized, middle grade, substance abuse program that gives students insight, understanding, and actual skills for resisting substance abuse. Project ALERT addresses the substances teens are most likely to use (alcohol, tobacco, inhalants, and marijuana).

PYPM

Protecting You/Protecting Me®

Protecting You/Protecting Me® (PY/PM®) is an alcohol use prevention curriculum for children in grades 1-5.  It is designated as a Model Program by SAMHSA, a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. PY/PM helps reach children before they have fully shaped their attitudes and opinions about alcohol use by youth and their role in preventing it. The curriculum focuses on the effects of alcohol on the developing brain during the first 21 years of life.

Class Action

Class Action

Class Action is an 8 to 10 session curriculum that looks at the social and legal consequences of drinking by simulating a courtroom in the classroom.  Class Action is for grades 9-12.

Illinois Youth Survey

Illinois Youth Survey

The Illinois Youth Survey (IYS) is given to the 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th grades every two years and is free of charge to participating schools.  The survey is a way for schools to accurately measure rates of youth substance abuse and violence among their students.
